C17 Guidelines Committee

The unique nature of pediatric cancer care – high tech, high intensity treatment delivered by multi-disciplinary teams to small numbers of patients dispersed among 17 centres across the country – make uniformity and consensus on standards of care and clinical care guidelines an extremely important factor in improving quality of life and health outcomes both during and after treatment.

We led – through national collaboration – a pan-Canadian approach to promote, stimulate and facilitate the development, dissemination, uptake and evaluation of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for key aspects of pediatric hematology/oncology healthcare and healthcare delivery. The guidelines committee is no longer active.
